Rosso Del Giorno
An enthusiastic, vibrant and devoutly Catholic red wine for drinking with il diavolo and pepperoni pizza (Dominos probably) in bed. Cherries, plums, cigar box spice and dry tannin.
With crops down in 2020, we sent the messenger pigeons far and wide for new fruit sources. They came back with (the usual) Sangiovese, Nero d'Avola and Pinot Nero. A Brunello clone of Sangiovese from Ashton dominates the blend, giving more structure than previous years, whilst the Nero and Pinot soften and provide fruit flavour.
72% Sangiovese – 16% Nero d'Avola – 12% Pinot Nero
